Steven Hollinger
Steve Hollinger oversees all Quality Assurance functions as BIRNS’ Quality Assurance Manager. In this integral role at the company, he has overall responsibility for the performance of the QA Department and to ensure that the company delivers the highest caliber products that customers worldwide have come to expect from BIRNS. He is responsible for all quality activities, including maintaining BIRNS’ ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, testing and inspection, nonconforming item disposition, and periodic audits. Hollinger also spearheads cost-reduction efforts and achieving our ongoing, aggressive growth goals by applying quality principles to all aspects of the company.
Hollinger came to BIRNS in 2010 with 29 years of experience in QA Management and Quality Engineering. Previously, he was with Alliant Techsystems [ATK] (a manufacturer of defense-related missile systems and related products), where he worked on Integrated Systems and Advanced Weapons Systems projects, e.g. the Navy’s Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) and Multi-Stage Supersonic Target (MSST). Steve was responsible for the implementation, certification and functioning of ATK’s AS9100 Quality System, and at his previous employer implemented, and was responsible for, the ISO 9001 Quality System. Steve holds a BA in Liberal Studies and an AA from the Quality Assurance Program at Pierce College, as well as J-STD-001 Class 3/IPC-A-610 solder inspection certification.
