The A size is excellent for miniature applications-- a mere Ø9.1mm (Ø.36in)-- and is available with one 16 AWG contact. The connector body is 52G-001 polychloroprene, pressure-vulcanized to the cable jacket. The connector may be either female ("receptacle") or male ("plug"); either may have a pin or a socket.
Size A cable connectors mate with each other, or with bulkhead connectors in the Polymeric Series. These are the A-size connectors available:
Optional cable locking sleeves (retention devices) are available, in your choice of black Delrin (Acetyl resin) or AISI 300-series Stainless Steel. Female locking sleeves are installed onto receptacles; male sleeves go onto plugs. Part numbers are:
