BIRNS Millennium connectors range in size from '3F' to '3X', with conductors as follows:

- 3L - up to 25 contacts
- 3M - up to 31 contacts
- 3O - up to 46 contacts
- 3P - up to 83 contacts
- 3R - up to 119 contacts

Cable Plugs ("CP's") are terminated to solid cables in straight (0o), 45o, and 90o styles. With an adapter, a CP may be installed onto an oil-filled cable, with a "hose clamp" tubing attachment ("CP-OH") or a double-ferrule hydraulic fitting ("CP-OF"). Contact us for details.
Sealing caps are available, as is termination (electrical, optical, and/or mechanical, of Aramid/Kevlar and steel), and overmolding.
Part Numbering Explanation
- 3: BIRNS Millennium connectors are an advanced, third-generation series; thus, all model numbers begin with '3'.
- Size Letter: This specifies the connector size.
- Contacts Number: This specifies the quantity of contacts.
- Connector Configuration Letters: These specify if the connector is a Receptacle or a Plug, and how it attaches to its substrate, e.g. "OR" or "CP".
Examples:
3G-10-CP: is a 3G-size 10 contact Cable Plug.
3P-25-FR: is a 3P-size 25 contact Flanged Receptacle.
3O-9-CP-OF: is a 3O-size 9 contact Cable Plug, for Oil-filled cable, with double-ferrule hydraulic Fitting.
3M-RCH: is a 3M-size Receptacle Cap for High pressure.
BIRNS' GEN-2 (Second Generation) Series of miniature, high-density metal shell connector is the precursor to the BIRNS Millennium Series. These connectors have been discontinued, but are supported by BIRNS on a case-by-case basis; selected drawings are on-line.
