What is the difference between Models 5672 and 5663 (Wet/Dry Snooperette)?
- What is the connector used in the BIRNS Snooperette?
BIRNS has been making the BIRNS Snooperette for over 35 years, during which time it has gone through three main iterations:

Prior to 1984, the model number was 6600 (or a variant thereof) and the light used the BEM2P-S (formerly 66BC2FS) connector. Around 1984, we modified the light's housing and changed the Model number to 5660, which used the BEM2P-S-XT connector. In 2006, we decreased the overall length of the light by 25%, and changed the Model number to 5672, which uses the BEM2P-S2 connector. - What is the difference between Models 5672 and 5663 (Wet/Dry Snooperette)?
Model 5663 is a throw-back to the days when we painted our BIRNS Snooperette. In those days, we made one unpainted unit (Wet/Dry model 5663), which (with installed lamp wattage of ≤50w), can be used Wet/Dry. The new Model 5663 units use the same housing as the 5672 (i.e., the shorter housing). Thus, now the main difference between the 5663 and the 5672 is that Model 5663 includes the SS mounting yoke and (unless instructed otherwise) we only install a 50-watt lamp into the 5663. All parts (except the housing and bulkhead connector) are compatible between the two models.
