BIRNS M24231 Connector Products include all sizes and configurations of Type I molded cable plugs per USA Military Specification MIL-C-24231, commonly known as "Portsmouth" connectors. See photographic examples.

BIRNS performs associated subcontract services (cable termination, assembly, overmolding and testing), and can provide cable assembly serialization and traceability back to original material certificates. Overmolding is available in black or amber MIL-M-24021 or "commercial" polyurethane, and BIRNS also offers an optional, proprietary NCC (Non-Conductive Coating) for delamination preclusion.

BIRNS also makes GRE cable plugs per MIL-C-24231/30, which have successfully passed ALT and "Paddle Wheel" MIL-S-901 shock testing.

GPS-frequency coax cable plugs in the M24231/4 size, molded into a very unusual "45-degree x 2" configuration using polyetherurethane per MIL-M-24021. Note the high level of workmanship on the machining and overmolding.

A group of MIL-C-24231/3-002 (Symbol 713.7) cable plugs with 9 sockets. "Preform Molded Inserts" per MIL-C-24231/29 are installed in the cable plugs; each cable's unique serialization is marked on the coupling rings.

MIL-C-24231/4-003 (Symbol 713.4) cable plugs with 30 sockets. "Preform Molded Inserts" per MIL-C-24231/29 are installed in the cable plugs.
